An interesting observation: As part of my
Bitcoin Fundraising for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust I requested free bitcoins from 16 different sites for the last month with the highest frequency I could muster.
I managed to accumulate
BTC0.00730912 ($1.06).
This was actually quite a lot of effort, and it applies to anyone going that route. Was all that effort spent worth it? I think not.
Why would you ever think that using free bitcoin faucets would be a good idea for that kind of fundraising?
What good is it if one only gets very very small amounts?https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=74046.msg1088930#msg1088930Also see this recent post:
Thank you very much for this, you have getting me started on BTC and today I will buy some myself
There are lots of quotes like that.
It may not be worth it to you but many others find it worthwhile for their own reasons.
