First off, I don't recommend trying to buy Bitcoin with your credit card or paypal, many people require a large amount of trust before you can do that.

Also, if you use big companies such as coinbase to buy your Bitcoin, you will be paying a much higher price. (I saw some people telling you to do this so I felt that I needed to tell you not to) Most of those companies will also require identification which I don't feel comfortable giving out online.

I would recommend using localbitcoins, I have used them multiple times and they offer many payment methods. The most common one being bank transfer, at least in my country that is the most used and offers the best rates. If you really want to stay anonymous, you can deal in real life. I don't mean anonymous as in no one sees you, I mean anonymous as in you don't need to give any identification or your bank details to anyone online. I feel it is the safest way but I don't really feel comfortable dealing in real life, you might, however.
