Right now, at bitstamp, you can buy ~200 XRP for 1 USD.
There are about 100 billion XRPs, so XRP market cap is about 500 million USD.
I suppose it's too much for such young currency.
No there's infinite amount of XRP, since it is centrally controlled and can be arbitrarily increased.
