Yes, it supports stratum, I've been using GUIMiner-Scrypt for LTC mining, it is just a frontend for miners. If CGMiner supports Stratum (which it does), so does GUIMiner-Scrypt.

I prefer just using CGMiner from command-line, but GUIMiner-Scrypt is great for testing out different flags, options, settings, etc.
