If someone was still looking to use these for mining, what would be the argument against that? I'm sure people understand they aren't efficient compared to newer tech and I'm wondering what numbers put that into perspective.

BTC a month. not even enough to cover transaction fees.
It would take
1million 100,000 years to mine a block assuming difficulty stays the same. I don't even think ckpool supports that low of hashrate anymore
to cover the transaction fee for sending that months income.
