I've tried several times to get the wallet to sync, but no success. I've sent $XRB to test and it has never showed up.
Now the status is stuck on "Wallet is locked, block 1239153" and won't let me unlock it.
Any ideas?

You need to wait longer. It's important you don't close your wallet.
If you never set a password, you can usually just unlock it, with an empty password.
Otherwise you can juste recover your entire wallet with your seed. (given you have saved it somewhere) ;-)
