you have to realize that there's only you and a handful of other people. the reason that you run into so much excitement here is because this is a forum for Bitcoin so obviously you're going to run into a lot of excitement here
it's simply not that special to the people outside this little isolated group. Over time, there will more and more people involved, but not with the fervor that you see here.
