I generally save some small amount of bitcoins for fun and then save some other amounts of bitcoins for future purposes 
Yeah both is good way that you save half for future other half you save it for fun both is good way but to me I think you need to save large amount of future because your future is very important than funny activities. Next time you need to effort that all bitcoin save it for shinning future.
