Can't believe how hard it is to get the wallet to sync. I've been trying for days across multiple PCs, kept getting stuck, deadlocking, pegging the cpu/disk, etc.

The solution that finally worked for me was to run the linux version of the wallet in an VM and copy the data.ldb over to the windows wallet. Syncing in linux took about 8 hours and didn't spam the log file with errors or get stuck
