Actually, the WinUSB drivers are a lot easier and less annoying than in windows... so perhaps I'll just stick with cgminer on *nix.

WINusb.) There is no such thing on linux, cgminer just talks directly to the linux kernel usb interface and doesn't need any driver at all.
Yeah, I don't know how it works. I do know that in order to build cgminer, I needed to apt-get install winusb to resolve a dependency. I guess I'd say "I'm glad I don't have to worry about WinUSB drivers"?
