Currently I can think of Litecoin (2011), Namecoin(2011), Peercoin (2012),  Ripple (2013), GridCoin (2013) and Dogecoin (2013).

Those coins are really old and most have a decent amount of Bitcoin holding them from dropping down in value. While people out there like to lose a bunch of Bitcoin on new coins and their ICO’s the price of these coins could make them some money since they are old and have been through the times of Digital payments. Litecoin is one of the coins on there that is doing really well considering how old it is.


One good thing that xould enhance the trust rating of people is being a pioneer and staying for a long time.
You are correct that is why many people are still into litecoin because of that.
Same with bitcoin and that makes it more valuable.
