Ethereum has always been volatile! Are you kidding me? You know volatile means up AND down not just down right? It's doing really crappy this month and has too many fan boys. So many other cryptos do the same things as ETH for cheaper.
People may be looking for alternative coins mainly because of high fee and slow confirmation not just because of its price volatility. Because all of us know that these cryptocurrencies are always very volatile and we already adjusted to these price fluctuations. But after August 1st if bitcoin transaction starts confirming faster with the lesser fee then things may change.
