ATMs and credit cards both have fees (I believe you are joking). It may have zero confirmation time but It's possible to chargeback and get scammed. Lightning Network should give us the ability to make micro-payments and without waiting for confirmations too. Banks control your money, you don't. I see no reason on why fiat is better than bitcoin.
It is true what he had said, they had fees and in fact the bank are gaining commission to your money rather than bitcoins who are decentralized. But as we all know, the major advantage of the real money was it can buy all things eith no limitations. Bitcoins are need to be exchanged into a paper money in order to buy things but some stores are accepting it. For now real money are more useable than bitcoins.
