Because ETH is a lot older and it's run by a snake called vitalik. 
ETH is not older. They are exactly same old. Since was same coin for more then a year. and shared same blockchain, that is now ETC blockchain. If we look that way, ETC is older since host the original blockchain, but practically they both share same blockchain till the moment ETH decided to go separate way.
It's crazy when you say that ETH is not bigger, look at the value of ETH and ETC now, ETC is not even equal to 10% ETH. It is a very small value for a coin of the same origin.
Where I mention word bigger? Can you please show. ETH is bigger in all expects. Its blockchain is now so big 200 GB that is quite alarming what will come in next not just years but even months.
ETH is higher because everyone is using it and no one is using ETC. Since they are the same tech I do believe that it will stay this way.

EOS dont even exist. ETH and ETC have amny other competitors allready working and isuing tokens. Like XCP, Bitchares, NXT, Waves, ...
