Maybe it can do 500 sols with claymore ASM kernel, but what I'm starting to see here is that they intentionally cut HBM bandwidth in half in the initial driver. Looks like they are intentionally doing this to keep miners away from the cards. Thats the only explanation that makes sense, since there is no reason why these CANT do 800-900 sols theoretically.

AMD should be happy, now amd have another market to supply until proof of work continues, also vega specific mining cards might be a reality and maybe that is why AMD still did not and will not fix the hashrate on Polaris.

Gamers are waiting for vega over a year now, and if they dont release mining cards, they are going to be so pissed, because every miner will buy vega, and gamers will not be able to buy any for a long period, thats why IMO they are considering to do some buff on mining cards or unbuff gaming ones, so each side is happy or even more sides (you can use mining ones or will be used for AI-deep learning), there can be only one problem and thats logistic, you will not be able to buy it from any store (mining one). Imagine when volta comes out or even navi, the same thing will happen, miners wants to upgrade even more than gamers.
