Hello,
My iPhone died and I have just finished downloading the backup for my new phone.
However I lost all the codes on the google authenticator app and I have 2 factor enabled on my account.
What can I do to regain access to my account?
Thanks
A bit OT but for all kano-ites that use 2FA here's an article (for us 'droids) that can help with this particular issue that one day we'll all have to deal with. http://www.techrepublic.com/article/move-google-authenticator-from-one-android-device-to-another/

Well Smiley
That's firstly why I recommend a different 2FA app, and secondly why, when you setup 2FA, the 2FA page says:

Quote
WARNING: if you lose your 2FA device you will need to know
the 2FA Secret Key to manually setup a new device,
so your should copy it and store it somewhere securely.

I'm not sure if people actually read all the text on the 2FA pages ... but they should Tongue

Edit: however, if you wish to move 2FA from one device to another - i.e. delete it off the old device - then the best way is to:
"Remove" 2FA with the old device and then setup 2FA on the new device - which will get a new 2FA Secret Key
