After a few days of diagnostics, it was a bad hard drive which has been fixed.

Now, the Core wallet keeps crashing. I have a couple of questions -

1) At the time the wallet first crashed, I was attempting unsuccessfully to sweep a paper wallet into Jaxx. Core was open at the time. Could there be a connection between those two events? If there is, what could have happened to the Core wallet files?

2) If there is no connection, what would typically corrupt in the Core wallet?
