I've been mining FTC just for the fun of it but was hoping to get as much kh/s as possible. I've been tweaking for a while with -l but I'm not sure if I'm killing my computer in the process. I have Windows 7 with a Nvidia GeForce 650M. I realize this is not a good rig for mining but still want to have some fun.
I've tried the autotune and it usually picks 8x5 or 10x4 and claims a 41 kh/s but won't ever go above 27 kh/s. Runs the GPU at about 80% and temperature around 75 C.
After messing around a bit, if I run at 42x7 it'll stay around 36-37 kh/s. Runs the GPU at about 98% but temperature climbs up to 82 C.
Will running at 42x7 fry my laptop? Does anyone know of a better setting or and I going to end up with a fried computer with nothing to show except for a few bucks worth of FTC?
