I see no reason to panic at the moment - coin swaps have happened before, bitcoin dark became komodo and it's doing just fine.  Sounds like they heard the complaints about the amateurish website and the pretty terrible wallet - as they address that directly in the roadmap.  I dunno..I like their ideas...the coin was plenty cheap when I bought, and still is...I'm going to hold on until supernode implementation...see how that goes.  There are always bumps along the way - remember mtGox?
