Is there any chance to buy genesis acc in future? Any plan from dev to sell new accs or it's already caped. Ty
you can't really buy genesis addresses as the original owner always know the private keys, so there's always the risk of scam. there is a chance that you will be able to buy genesis addresses for mne 2.0 though.
Yes i know that. I noticed that about new genesis accs a couple of days ago and didnt really know what was that about. So mne 2.0 will be a new coin or there will be a swap? Anyway, thank you for info.
It will be a new coin and MNE will continue to exist. what the dev certainly cannot do is "close" old genesis addresses as nobody can change an existing smart contract. So the one thing we know for sure is that you cannot swap an old genesis account for a new one. You could buy one with MNE though. Time and dev will tell.
This could have quite some impact! There will be a couple of things that we all need to take into account;
1. MNE V1 will continue to be developed and the roadmap will not change, this could make MNE V1 even more appealing after the swap since many coins will be burned
2. If you swap into V2 you need to be aware that this coin has no value yet. It's not listed in any exchange, has no roadmap, and the total supply is not known yet. You basically invest in an ICO which still needs to proof itself.
Although the burning of coins can be very appealing it also could be smart that Dev just decides to airdrop MNE V2 to the current token holders based on the supply they have in there wallets.
To increase MNE's burning rate Dev could also consider to increase the fee for the token creation to lets say 20 MNE (instead of 1) as fixed fee. Currently there is some inflation in MNE due to the continuous increase of supply but this should not be a big issue if the trading levels are increased through new exchanges or new pairs!! (MNE/LTC,MNE/EUR,MNE/USD,MNE/XMR,MNE/XRP). Current trading levels are only $12k which is too low, once we get this coins trading level to around $100k on average the inflation should not be any issue.
Just thinking but I am curious how the community sees this.
