It will have to be better than Monero to succeed. 
It needs to be different enough from Monero in some (or more than one) way. Different does not necessarily mean better (or worse). The differences can be technical or they may be related to branding, adoption etc. We shall see what happens.You are right, branding is as important as technology differentiating. Thank you.
