If nothing else I think it should be a moderators job to make sure threads such as ClaimWithMe don't overstay their welcome. That thread should have been moved and/or deleted a long time ago.
It was obviously a scam from the start yet people are still wasting time on it, not reading previous posts and in worst case even "investing" their hard-earned BTC. But then again those users could also be fake ones attempting to lure real users into deposits.
In any case I like the idea and I think it would highly discourage scammy projects from showing up, although it would take a lot more than that to get rid of them for good. In the end the power lies in our hands not to fall prey to our own greed and turn a blind eye to what we would otherwise see through clear as day.
If everyone knew it was a scam offer since the beginning why is it necessary to pay a guarantee to the forum?
There weren't innocents investing in ClaimWithMe. That was an obvious HYIP scheme, everyone knew that rates were impossible to be true. 10% profit daily is a huge profit. The only way to keep that running legit was if the owner had master trading skills to make a lot of daily money trading or a big amount of money invested somewhere producing passive income, so he could afford to pay the investors.
But that would be charity, and he was looking for profit.
I think it's very easy to avoid most of the scams. Just check the rates, if they are too good to be true, don't use the service. ClaimWithMe too obvious and that CoinFast obvious too with currently rewards (at first point CoinFast's owner said he would decrease the rewards later, that was just a initial offer to bring more users to the site, if that was true, the site could be legit).
In my opinion this idea is desnecessary as Ponzies HYIP are obvious and to give guarantee in money to the forum is worthless and could be considered bribery.
