You have to do one of the two:
1)Reduce txt fee, or
2)Reduce confirmations
.01 for 50 confirmations seems high, transaction lightning fast, but to much confirmations kill the purpose

Can't you set tx fee at conf file? At default wallet daemon fee is 0.00001
