I thought this coin would have max supply at 4 million? It already crossed 4 million....this changes things.

The PoW was just under 4 million and then 3% PoS. The point of PoS is to add interest, and 3% pretty close resembles a natural inflation rate. Don't worry so much lol. Everything is working fine.

All you have to do is keep your wallet open and unlocked to stake.

This is not fiat money, it is digital currency, then, for you to make interest on your coins, you have to "lend" your cpu power, (computer memory), for the coin to generate new transactions, all this are math algorithms generated on your computer memory, this is how you get "paid" or stake, commonly known as POS (proof of stake), for that reason your wallet needs to be online and open

Well you could if you have malware on your computer or if someone breaks into your house and has access to your computer then yes your coins could be stolen. But apart from that they are safe so just make sure you only download from trusted sources and do a regular malware check on your computer and you should be fine.
