I think at the moment bitcoin is the best place it invest your money, if you can do it before August 1 then do it, there may be a slight decrease in price thanks to bcc but after bcc disappears then bitcoin is going to gain a lot of value really fast, so make sure to be there to grab your profits.
You said is true.Many think about the August 1 as bad and had fear in it.But upto me it's the correct time to inverse your money as much as you got.Why because after August second week the price may cross 3000$.If you inverse today means it will give you a very huge returns.Who know,you can brought a small new home with the profit from bitcoin after August Second week.Believe in bitcoin blindly.
