The real mod's name is penek, and he hasn't been a mod for over a year.

Even then, I doubt he'd know anything.
Penek did post about the situation of BTC-E few days back though he admitted that he is no longer directly linked with btc-e.

If some Russian member could translate. I don't understand everything by Google translate. He hinted that admins were in process to transfer servers.

And his last post regarding the situation around Btc-e was three days ago. He says that he is no longer involved in crypto and is busy with other things. The most important thing that he mentions about Btc-e is that the owners of the exchange would never visit a country where they could be arrested by the local authorities following the US warrant. If what he says is true indeed, that most likely means that the real owners have remained in Russia all this time. He also mentions that Vinnik has no connection with the exchange admins. Their names is not Alexander
