yes, you are absolutely correct, but that's not where the problem lies.

this looks like a log of bitcoin, although it is not standard debug log. none of the ips in this log belong to me and by the looks of it it's a log of a program that ran on windows. i found it on my mac. and I don't have bitcoin client installed on my mac.

this is not the first time i find a file with  [randomchars].exe.part in firefox downloads directory. previously, i wasn't able to open it, so just wiped my system and hoped for the best.

i thought maybe someone here has seen this before
