Some countries or state have been accepting this kind of marriage. Here in the Philippines, we do not recognize it as legal or something like that. How about in your country?
Sadly, it looks like we both from the same country, and I think that it really sucks how this kind of marriage is not freely accepted in our country. I think that same-sex-marriage should be accepted in any country because homosexuality is becoming a norm now and we should accept that in our society. I don't think that the sex or gender is really important, what important for me is that the two people really love each other. Love does not have a color, a sex, or gender or whatever. Love is love.
Regarding the non-legal-recognition of same-sex-marriage in my country, the Philippines, I strongly believe that the Catholic Church has a big part in it. The Catholic Church has a very strong influence in our country. Even though, in law, the Church and State should be separate, it is still inevitable for the Church to influence the Government and the people
