Power Issues Solved

Rig Symptoms
I was mining fine for a day then 5 crashes in a row over an hour then fine for 1 hour then the rig froze up, I reset the rig it would work for 5 minutes next reset then it would work for a day. Essentially very random and sporadic crashes and freezes.

Changing power settings and over clocking settings to factory made no difference.

For anyone having this error message in dual mine mode

"NVML : current temperature, error 15"

Orin single mining mode an error message along the lines of

" ...Hash gone stale " I cant recall exactly but along those lines.

In both cases the rig freezes completely or you can move mouse but cant execute anything.

Then for me this was a hardware issue , a few of these have caused me the issue over the last month :

1. Make sure all cables are 'clicked' into PSU - I think one of my kids pulled one out as one of the cables was lose - plugging it back in got me 7 days going again.

2. Make sure all cables are , 'snug'  this one was my fault I didnt have one of the cables in tight on the riser.

3. Finally replace risers one by one.  I had one riser that 'wouldnt lock with a click' onto the GPU.  This is an issue these must lock click on the GPU.   I had another low quality riser in a batch of good risers that was just tempermental.

Anyway with all three of these resolved I have now been up for 8 days and no crashes.   Hope this helps others with similar issues.

The web had a few software based solutions from turning down power, to disabling certain programs like watchdog and other programs and even updating drivers none of these fixed my issue.
