I assumed that the developers took some of the funds from the ICO and fired up a few hundred of Virtual Machines,  the hash rate increase has been very slow, but steady during the day.

And I think that they needed to do it, they want to launch the 9th, but generating one block every 2 hours didn't allow to launch it.

The big issue that I have with that project is the lack of proper communication, one or too blog posts every week that only address the issues in a very superficial way is not enough, specially if you are falling behind your own schedule.
