I think monero is the best cryptocurrency at this time. See the price action history, even today the most coin has lower price but monero not too low. Second thing is about the volume is stable, not too high or lower. For me, that is the indicator I can use to choose the right coin to buy. Just manage your money and use stop loss for deal the risk.
