I hold btc because I want to increase it. Sometimes I withdraw some of it for our daily needs. Some people do not hold btc because they don't want to risk their bitcoin. They are just playing safe amd maybe keep it to some other account.
Such people simply do not believe in crypto currency. Or maybe they have other sources of income besides bitcoin with less risk.
Now, despite the news about the split, I trust bitcoin.
And I believe that in a few years its price will rise sharply. So I decided to keep bitcoin
