Buying 1337 coin now is not risky. For me this is one of the best time to buy for it is not yet on his peak price. I will still try to accummulate at a lower price to stake my coin. I may suggest you buy now and stake and place a buy on a lower price so that when someone panic and sell his/her 1337 you can still buy at a lower price. Like Vella85 said this is a long term coin so buy while the price is low and enjoy staking. Good luck mate
