Your logic is terrible and should probably just leave. Funds were not lost due to "unregulated" BTC-e, they were lost BECAUSE of regulators.In no way is what happened to BTC-e an argument FOR regulation and anyone with a genuine opinion (not agenda-driven fud) knows that.
