I'm currently planning to start a large mining operation (not super large).
But I am considering should I buy a house or rent some place or even rent like a store front to store mining rigs?
As I understand it, houses probably have 200 amp circuit panels. Most circuits use 15 amp. So does this mean each circuit panel can only handle about 13 circuits running at ~80% load meaning about 13 mining rigs per 200 amp circuit panel?
Am I able to call electric company or electrician to install new 200 amp circuit panels and if so is there a limit?
I would like to just use 1 house. I may just buy a cheap house and use it mainly for mining purposes.
Also another idea I had was to just get a shed to save on cost. Am I able to install 200 amp circuit panels in the shed?
In US, you can ask the city for additional 200 amp panels (total 400), usually you have to call an electrician whom had permit to the city that you are living in, and you have to explain to the city exactly what you are planning to do with all that power that you are installing on your residential house.. (cost around $2500 to $4000 for the installation of additional panel + new 400 amp meter).
More than that you probably need to rent a business office somewhere else...
Switch all of your wires to L6-30P circuit 240v 30A (30A double pole), and get yourself some of these
