Drinking alcohol in the range of 2-3 glasses wine or bottles of beer once a week is ok. Drinking daily is not.
Drinking a peg every day is OK. Else, you can have 3-4 glasses every Friday or Saturday. There is nothing wrong, if you are able to limit yourself. The problem starts when you are unable to stop drinking.
Even it os ok the effect of beer or wine in our body is also bad to oir health .For me drinking alternative drinks than beer ,wine or alcohol is better .
