I transferred around $500 from Mycelium to Coinbase on 2nd August after the hard fork. Do you think I can still get my bitcoin cash?
You must try to ask coinbase about that If the coinbase will be distributed the bitcoin cash to the bitcoin holders and you will get your bitcoin cash and if that was not and say bye for your bitcoin cash because it will be sold by the coinbase team. 
It depends on the exchange site itself.
