According to coinmarketcap, the circulating supply is 22,786,036 coins. The opening post says that the total amount will be 23 million. So the maximum amount will be reached very soon. What are the plans after the limit was achieved? Will the coin be switched to PoS. Unfortunately I could not find any information.
Right now, I own some Viacoins and I consider to increase the amount but I would like to know what are the plans after max limit reach.
VIA is merge mined which means the miners do not make their money from new coins created in the mining process. Thats why it doesnt really matter if max coin cap is reached or not.
