nice article it is a big help for a newbie who are able to start mining using windows10 operating system but this is my question is there any diffence if we are using another version of windows aside from windows10 ? have try to compare the mining performance against this two OSes Windows vs Linux with the hardware setup ?

Yes, I did. I tried Ubuntu and then EthOS, but I kept a Windows 10 Pro partition where I had the tools to mod the GPUs. The mining test on both OSs were pretty similar. I'm very sure professional miners do tweak the SO kernel in same way to obtain a small hashrate improvement per GPU, but for the average user like me it is just the same. A clean Windows 10 Pro is very stable, and at some point I had no reason to comeback to the linux partition.

I have not tried older Windows versions.

Thanks,
