By the way, I've never understood why every in the USA calls my name and pool "KayNo" - it's not

It's Ka like "Car" without the "r"
There is no way to say "Kay" in Japanese, the sound doesn't exist.
Sorry just never heard of it and it popped up on the list while I was looking for us.
I'm norwegian and dont call you any "Kay" alike. Kay is my bros name and my uncle and his bro are old sailors and talk quite a bit japanese, I heard it yesterday latest

It just reminded me about the fact that every US person I've met who has said my name or the pool name before I've told them, has said KayNo
It was a general thing - yeah canoe isn't pronounded KayNoo, it's KaNoo
I've no idea why so often I hear KayNo - there's no 'y' in Kano - so I never understood where the pronunciation came from.
