Have the devs considered allowing artists to sell MP3 downloads of their songs/albums in exchange for Musicoin? After the UBI fork it will become important to re-incentivize the purchase of Musicoin in some way, and many listeners would probably be willing to pay for digital copies of their favorite songs.
Yes, download contract is already in consideration after PPP for streaming. It's though a marginal demand for high-resolution audiophiles or collectors.
The contract to support download contract will be more flexible to enable artists to define price, instead of unified price in PPP contract.
That's great news. I think it will really help balance supply and demand after UBI/PPP.
The only consideration as far as hi-res goes would be storage. Lossless files will take up a lot of space wherever they're stored. And considering that most of the current artists are small-label/independent, the audio quality of the recordings may not warrant that level of fidelity.
