The government will tax bitcoin in the future for sure because we can see that bitcoin is getting accepted in the different merchants or stores and the government will not allow that if they can't get any benefits from those stores that accept bitcoin and they can get benefit by taxing the profits in value of bitcoin that they got and that is one of the ways which the government can take place to get benefits.
Yeah. That may happen for sure in the future. As Bitcoin is pseudonymous, all of its transactions can be tracked via the use of block explorers. Even though addresses do not carry personally identifiable information, authorities can easily link the transactions towards your own identity.
That way, via the use of specialized sofware, governments may be able to enforce taxes to their citizens and keep track of those which are evading them. While I do not support tax evasion, tracking every citizen may be quite troublesome for anyone who would like to preserve their privacy of their financial information.
Despite everything, Bitcoin is still a good way to take control of your financial freedom, as it provides strong security and faster transactions than centralized payment processors.
Only time will tell what lies for Bitcoin's future from replacing the dollar to becoming a mainstream currency. Just my thoughts.
