zec isn't offering anything ground breaking as it is and maybe it will go up but what distinguishes it from other altcoins? It's potential isn't really clear, look at Ethereum, you can see clearly what it offers.

Agree. ZCash offers nothing more than adding an additional layer of privacy over your transactions. Given that it is entirely the same as Bitcoin (supply, and underlying codebase), ZEC is just another Bitcoin clone with an additional feature that could've been implemented into the pioneer cryptocurrency in the first place.

I believe that once Bitcoin adopts Schnorr signatures and confidential transactions, it will further increase its privacy and people may tend to use it more than ZEC itself. But despite the facts, it may be worth watching what lies ahead for ZEC as time goes by, especially after the founder's reward period is over, to see its real value in the market.

All ZCash needs is marketing, promotion, and user friendliness, towards making it a mainstream cryptocurrency. But lacking a cross-platform stable wallet with a GUI, may further limit its ability from gaining traction soon. Just my opinion Smiley

I agree with the marketing bit. ZEC need to be used by privacy orientated people.
