Well in terms of price, trust, history, popularity, volatility and acceptance in some national banks and international merchants it is no other than Bitcoin. People arround the world believe and invested large ammount of money into BTC than any other coin from time to time. Altcoins I think are only good for short term  investment and BTC is for long term investment. I haven't heared also about local merchants that accept altcoins only BTC nor see an altcoin atm in my country but has atm for BTC. So all in all BTC will be the winner.
