Thats not true, you can join if you write a short 200 words essay about why you wanna join. There must be some better instructions anywhere around here. Only 50 places available, I don't think that they are already taken!

There is also a newbie spreadsheet, you can look there to see if there are still places available!

They will search the thread at the end I guess and then decide about activity, I don't think they do this constantly.
