I'm having a weird setup issue. Any help is appreciated.

My rig: Windows 7 x64 (Genuine), Asus RX580 ROG/STRIX T8G.

With drivers 17.7.2, I decided to update to 17.8.1 After updating and running the dual miner, my screen went blank and then turned into beautiful rainbow snow.

Restarted into Safe Mode with DDU, removed everything. Disabled group policy for Windows to auto-install drivers.

Restarted into normal mode. Disabled Avira. Installed 17.8.1 Clicked to install ReLive. Was showed an error that my display driver failed to install.

Restarted into normal mode. Disabled Avira. Installed 17.7.2 after fresh download. Everything seemed okay. Clicked to install ReLive, shown same error: display driver failed to install.

I'm using a beta version of Avira Antivirus Pro. Do you think it is still interfering even though I'm disabling it?

Do you think my VRAM is corrupt/bad? Do you have any solution steps to get an AMD driver installed? Next I'll DDU and attempt the minimalistic driver. Sigh.

Artifacts are usually signs of too much overclocking or hardware issues.
Personally I do not think Avira i sthe problem.
This is what i would do:
- disable, reset and revert all overclocking changes
- switch to the second, default BIOS
- uninstall all GPU related software (Trixx, MSI, GPUZ and etc)
- use DDU in safe mode
- install 17.7.1
- run Furmark benchmark
- monitor the Temperature, CPU and Memory frequencies in Wattman
- if all good run miner - default claymores bat
- take note on every step
- take screenshots
