Will we need to have 5000 of the current Terracoin to host a test masternode?
You will need test TRC for it, not real TRC. You will be able to mine the public testnet, and I can send people tTRC for testing. We reset the testnet this morning so we only have a tiny bit available right now.
As we fix bugs we reset the testnet which is why we haven't released the testnet to the public. Stray nodes, and miners could cause issues each time we reset it.
