DeepOnion leverages the TOR network to help it's anonymity; while also increasing the number of nodes on the TOR network.  This helps the coin in privacy while also increasing the overall network privacy.  There's several strengths around technology but in my opinion the key strength is the community being developed around it.  It's very controversial but the dev has decided to distribute the coin purely by mining but mostly through the signature/bounty campaign.  I'd highly recommend going over to the official community and signing up if you want to learn more.  My sig or any other on here can get you what you need.
