Eventchain is probably our closest direct competitor. One of the main differences between the two protocols is that EventChain does not allow artists/event organisers to earn any revenue from resale. Aventus is also an open protocol that any ticket company can tap into and join in the benefits, rather than a direct to consumer ticket company (though we will launch our own as a proof-of-concept). Our approach effectively will allow anyone to become an event promoter, while making sure that only tickets for legitimate events are sold, and only from legitimate ticket sellers (you can read more about the verification process in our white paper).
