I have been watching Monero for a while and I have considered investing, but 2 things concern me; the scalability, and the fact that in the coming years Bitcoin is likely to get similar anonymity and fungibility features.
I would suggest that if you truly can't tell the difference that baked in anonymity brings compared to a transparent blockchain you shouldn't invest.
Think about it... how many years did it take the bitcoin devs fighting about changing the block size
before anything happened? So how in the world do you think they could EVER add privacy at the protocol level and not have multiple hard forks with competing approaches? It will never happen!
it happened. Or sort of tried to happen. What a clusterfuck. Bitcoin384 might be the fork that can compete with XMR. If it comes with a way-back-machine.
